    Women’s Work presents data-driven quilts by artist Rachel Ivy Clark, showing the impact of women’s work in community, history, and the political field. These quilts tell a story both in the data that they bring to life and the work to create each visual representation.

    Pride Ethos I $10,000
    Pride Ethos is a two-night, promenade-style queer cabaret presented at the Everson Museum of Art during Pride Week 2026. Produced by Breadcrumbs Productions, GoJo Productions, and Come Out Central New York, the project centers paid opportunities for regional LGBTQIA2S+ artists and brings the queer community together for celebration and storytelling.

    A Truly Complete Messiah I $10,000
    Schola Cantorum of Syracuse performs Messiah – uncut and complete, both the Christmas and Easter portions of Handel’s masterwork – with a chamber ensemble of 16 singers and 10 instrumentalists.

    JAMS Funk Fest 26 I $10,000
    After 7, Stokley of Mint Condition, Karyn White and Glen Jones will headline a day‑long festival at Chevy Court, featuring top CNY bands and youth performers. A public Meet & Greet, with the headliners will be held on the evening before the festival at the Jefferson Clinton Hotel.

    The Syracuse Poster Project brings together poets and artists to create civic art posters about the Syracuse area. The posters are displayed in downtown kiosks and public spaces. In 2026, the Project marks 25 years with a series inspired by the word “quarter,” blending attributes of CNY and this milestone.

    ArtRage Gallery is seeking funding for two 2026 art exhibitions; “VISIONS OF HOPE: Moving Images by Teens with a Movie Camera,” and “25 MILLION STITCHES: One Stitch, One Refugee. Raising Awareness of the Global Refugee Crisis through Art” Both exhibitions center the voices and stories of Central New Yorkers.

    During 2026, Folkus will present 16 acoustic music shows, featuring performers from a variety of genres, including Americana, folk, bluegrass, traditional/roots, singer-songwriter, and more. Folkus offers the audience the opportunity to hear consistently high-quality music, discover new artists, and be part of a community of acoustic music fans.

    Party in the Square 2026 I $10,000
    This event series produces 4 weeks of events that bring a diverse lineup of musicians, genres, vendors and food vendors to downtown Syracuse in Clinton Square. The events are free to attend, on a bus route, accessible and family friendly. Each event has a dedicated genre of music.

    Rematriated Voices Screening and Facilitated Discussion Campaign I $8,850
    Rematriated Voices Screenings and Facilitated Discussions is an arts-based public education initiative using Indigenous storytelling to increase understanding of Haudenosaunee history, matrilineal governance, and contemporary perspectives. Through curated screenings and facilitated dialogue, the project builds ally relationships, supports Indigenous creatives, and advances arts equity, cultural preservation, and cross-cultural engagement.
  • The Covey Theater, Onondaga County
    2026 Season I $10,000
    Covey will produce three 2026 productions, including two regional premieres: William Finn’s exuberant musical ‘The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,’ the socially relevant musical ‘Dear Evan Hansen,’ and the original comedy ‘The Utterly Predictable Rise and Fall of Congressman Cassidy Brown’. We are seeking $10,000 to supplement our budgets.
  • Syracuse Shakespeare in-the-Park, Onondaga County
    Summer production of King Lear I $9,980
    SSITP will present six performances of King Lear in the Thornden Park Amphitheater during June 2026. Performances will be in authentic Elizabethan costuming and presented in a style intended to recreate the theater-going experience of a 16th century audience. All performances free to the public. No admission will be charged.

    La Casa de Bernarda Alba, a theatrical production celebrating our heritage, literature and culture, is a new play in the repertory of La Joven Guardia del Teatro Latino. It is a celebration of our values and the kids’ and youth talents in CNY, especially undeserved community kids and youth.

    Spring 2026 Concert: Songs of Transformation I $7,736
    Syracuse Chorale presents “We Can Mend the Sky,” by contemporary American composer Jake Runestad, along with other choral works that speak to our ability to transform our world, including Reena Esmail’s “Even After All This Time,” and Gwyneth Walker’s “Crossing the Bar,” blending colorful choral textures with instrumental accompaniment.

    Older adults attending program services at Westcott CC will benefit from creative art projects each month facilitated by local artists and crafters. Artistic activities enable older adults to experience enhanced cognitive and memory function, better dexterity, is proven to reduce loneliness and isolation, improves mental health, and offers socialization opportunities.

  • Syracuse Vocal Ensemble, Onondaga County
    2026 Concert Series I $7,000
    Syracuse Vocal Ensemble will present a series of four separate concert programs, each performed twice, throughout 2026. Performances will be in January, March, May and October, in multiple venues around Syracuse and Onondaga County.
  • Jewish Federation of Central New York, Onondaga County
    Defiant Requiem I $10,000
    “Defiant Requiem: Verdi at Terezín” tells the story of Jewish prisoners in the Terezín concentrationcCamp who performed Verdi’s Requiem Mass for the Dead as an act of resistance. The Jewish Federation, Syracuse Orchestra and Syracuse University Oratorio Society present this program to educate about the Holocaust and combat hate.

    2026 CNY Pride Festival and Parade I $10,000
    The CNY Pride Festival is family-friendly celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies in Central New York, held in Syracuse.It features a parade and a festival with live entertainment, food, and vendors, with the 2026 event taking place on Saturday, June 13, at Progress Park in the Inner Harbor
